The 5-Minute Gita

Timeless wisdom for everyday life

How can ancient wisdom remain accessible without losing the depth that made it endure? The 5-Minute Gita offers a concise introduction to the Bhagavad-gita, exploring its central teachings on identity, purpose, action and spiritual understanding through short daily readings.

The Question Behind the Book

Many of the world’s wisdom traditions have survived for centuries because they address questions that remain deeply familiar. Who am I? How should I act? What gives life meaning? How should I respond to difficulty, change and uncertainty? Yet the texts that explore these questions can often feel distant. Their language, historical setting and philosophical depth may make them difficult to approach, especially for someone encountering them for the first time. Nitesh first encountered the Bhagavad-gita as a teenager. Although drawn to the importance placed upon the text, he also experienced the challenge many readers face: recognising that something contains profound insight while struggling to access its meaning. Years of study, teaching and returning to the Gita eventually shaped a different question: How can a doorway be created without reducing what lies beyond it? The 5-Minute Gita emerged as an attempt to offer that doorway. The book does not seek to replace deeper study of the Gita, but to provide an accessible starting point. It invites readers to pause with one idea at a time and consider how ancient teachings might speak to ordinary decisions, relationships and responsibilities.
