OmLife & The Vedanta
How can ancient wisdom be encountered in contemporary life without losing its depth?
The Question Behind the Project
Wisdom traditions have always required more than information. They have been sustained through environments, practices, relationships and ways of living that allow ideas to move from understanding into experience.
In modern life, many people encounter spiritual ideas through books, videos and short moments of inspiration. These can open important doors, but deeper formation often requires different conditions – time, guidance, community and practice. OmLife emerged from a question that appears throughout Nitesh’s wider work: How can ancient traditions be made available to contemporary audiences while preserving the depth, discipline and lineage that gave rise to them?
The Idea in Practice
OmLife creates spaces for spiritual learning, reflection and practice through retreats, workshops and gatherings. Rooted in the Vedic tradition, its work explores how timeless principles can be shared through contemporary formats and language without becoming separated from their origins. The intention is not simply to modernise ancient wisdom, but to create environments where people can encounter it more fully.
The Vedanta provides a dedicated setting for this exploration – bringing together nature, contemplation, study, food, yoga, meditation and shared practice. Together, OmLife and The Vedanta reflect a broader inquiry into how wisdom becomes lived rather than merely understood.
Continuing Work
OmLife continues to develop programmes and experiences across different settings, including The Vedanta and urban spaces such as OmNom.
The Vedanta has become a home for retreats, gatherings and teachers across spiritual wisdom, contemplative practice and personal development – serving communities, organisations and individuals seeking deeper forms of inquiry.
At its centre remains the original question: How do we create the conditions for meaningful transformation to happen naturally?
